Lorne Sculpture Biennale

From Saturday the 8th of March 2014 until Sunday the 30th of March 2014 up to 40 works will be exhibited along the Lorne foreshore starting at the pier, hugging the coastline, travelling down cypress drive and finishing at the Erskine River.

The Lorne Sculpture was the brainchild of Qdos Director Graeme Wilkie, who along with a committee of volunteers staged the inaugural event in November 2007. It was an outstanding success with 13,500 visitors to the exhibition.
In November 2009 the Lorne Sculpture built on this success with the second exhibition which saw an increase in visitor numbers to over 20,000, with 8,500 catalogues distributed and over 8,000 hits to the website during the 2009 event.
In October 2011, the third exhibition received a record 30,000+ visitors over the three week period, and reached a 95% satisfaction rating.
With the increase in interest from visitors and stakeholders alike, the event continues to grow in its professional delivery, while still being primarily volunteer based.
